Brief Plot
On a beautiful quiet Sunday afternoon when a couple of ex-convicts Hogan and Dewayne decide to steal a brand new 1981 Cadillac Seville in sable black that belongs to an elderly man Earl Sorenson who decides to take law into his own hands, eventually causing a serious car accident, and Grossie accidentally breaks his jaw after wiping out on his motorcycle. Earl now has a slight concussion, he refuses to cooperate with a sobriety test in which is often given to drunk drivers, and he attempts to commit aggravated assault by trying to slam the car door of his 1974 Ford Gran Torino in two tone green into Jon's crotch. Jon finally loses his patients by trying to arrest Earl for aggravated assault, and Bonnie manages to intervene between the both of them by stepping into the situation in order to explain to him about people with disabilities. Earl now wants to make a complaint against Jon for police brutality, false arrest, and not listening to him about his recently stolen Cadillac. Ponch decides to date Earl's beautiful social work Kim Travis, he eventually get involved with managing people with medical problems, he manages to solve the case for the auto theft division, and he gets new equipment brought into the CHP in order to help people with a disabilities.
Plot
On a beautiful quiet Sunday afternoon when a couple of ex-convicts Hogan and Dewayne are driving around in a recently abandon un-maintain 1959 Edsel Ranger that has been repainted half a dozen times, they have finally decided to exit the San Diego Freeway, there now cruising around in the suburb of Washington Culver where the neighborhood kids are actually playing at Carlson Park, they finally managed to spot a brand new 1981 Cadillac Seville in sable black in which is actually parked on a driveway in front of garage that belongs to an elderly married couple Earl and Margaret Sorenson who have just recently gotten back from church, and happen to be preparing for a backyard barbecue party while inside their house as part of a fortieth wedding anniversary celebration with their friends today. Dewayne finally gets out of the Edsel in which he starts casually walking over towards the driveway, he successfully manages to pick the passengers side door lock open of Cadillac, he is actually unaware that Earl has gone outside while carrying a glass of brandy, and tray of hamburgers in order to start preparing them on a charcoal barbecue grill. Hogan is actually still inside the Edsel now keeping a lookout for the owner, including the cops while Dewayne finally hotwires the Cadillac underneath the dashboard, and there unaware that Earl is drinking a glass of brandy while starting to prepare to grill the hamburgers for their afternoon barbecue. Earl is actually unaware of his other medical problems, he now witnesses Dewayne stealing his Cadillac right off of his driveway, including Hogan driving away in an Edsel, he isn't very fond of cops since loosing his hearing permanently in a accidental explosion at a construction site about eighteen years ago, and since the death of his eldest son about seven years ago. Earl decides take the law into his own hands by going into his own garage, he get's into his wife's 1974 Ford Gran Torino in two tone green, and he manages to chase down suspects Hogan and Dewayne for about two minutes.
Since Grossie is actually force to missed out on having lunch today in order to response to a robbery at Chippendales, he decides to grab a quick at the Mini Mart & Liquor down the street, he is coming out eating a powder sugared doughnut, including drinking a cup of coffee, he witnesses Earl breaking the law by speeding while honking the horn inside of a Torino by trying to chase down his own suspects Hogan and Dewayne over stealing a Cadillac, he finishes throwing away his trash, he finally gets on his motorcycle in order to start a high speed pursuit of the suspects vehicle, and he calls into the dispatcher for backup units while keeping up with elderly suspect for about three minutes. The pursuit finally ends when Dewayne while driving the recently stolen Cadillac, he accidentally causes a multiple car collision in a residential intersection, Earl manages to avoid getting into the collision by slamming on the brakes of his wife's Torino, Grossie now accidentally wipes his motorcycle completely out on the ground, he accidentally breaks his aviator sunglasses, including fracturing his jaw, and manages to completely pass out in the process of being killed on a busy highway. Hogan decides to turn around inside the Edsel, he reminds Dewayne to leave the scene of the crime because they don't want actually get caught for a stealing a Cadillac, Earl now accidentally bumps his head on the steering wheel after slamming on the brakes of his wife's Torino in which he has glare from the sun in his eyes but can see the felons getting away, and Ponch and Jon arrive about three minutes later after finishing up a robbery report at Chippendales in order to investigate the accidental crime scene. Ponch now responds by getting off of his motorcycle in which he starts running towards to investigate the scene of the crime, he manages to flip over a recently injured Grossie who is now passed out while suffering from head trauma because of a bruise on the right side of the jaw, and injury of the neck, he now starts remove his aviator sunglasses but soon realizes about how many times both himself, and his colleagues were hospitalized because of different types of injuries over the years. Ponch now decides to run back towards his motorcycle in order to call into the dispatcher for immediate medical attention for Grossie to get taken away to UCLA Medical Center by an ambulance with the help of the paramedics, and he needs a car hauler in order to help cleanup the multiple car collision in the residential intersection.

Ponch finally meets a beautiful social worker Kim Travis who is actually here to take charge of her case load that involves Earl because of his medical problems, he seems to be attracting her attention at the moment, and he will finally agree to escort her into Getraer's office. After Ponch gets Kim situated in a desk chair, she observes Bonnie using her sign language skills in order to communicate with Earl about his recently stolen Cadillac, Jon is actually standing there while suffering the consequences of a possible lawsuit that will brought against him for police brutality, Getraer now wants to fill out a report for their auto theft division, and she finally agrees to drive the victim back home because of a possible drunk driving charge. While a couple of ex-convicts Hogan and Dewayne are hiding out near the San Fernando Valley Generating Station, there now having a meeting about today's multiple car collision, and decide to finishing filling there auto theft contract.
