Ponch's vacation plans are ruined when a gang of female car thieves steals his beloved, newly rebuilt Firebird. In addition, Jon's wallet is stolen as a relentless streak of carelessness. It also includes Ponch actually breaking his pinky finger during a police chase.
Ponch's vacation plans are ruined when a gang of female car thieves steals his newly rebuilt Pontiac Firebird from his apartment complex parking garage. Ponch is unaware that his new neighbor, Kim Balford, is part of the gang that stole his and other vehicles from the Marina area. Jon's wallet is stolen as a relentless streak of bad luck afflicts the duo. Ponch breaks his pinky finger during a police chase. Getarer loses the duty roster. Sindy wants to go on a diet and get married.

In the morning as [[Ponch]] and [[Jon]] pull into headquarters as another squad car pulls out. While back inside the building Ponch now has everybody in the department follow him, including [[Jon]] to the door for the surprise. Once Ponch opens up the door, and takes everybody outside to show them his newly rebuilt Trans Am. [[Grossie]] guests new car. Ponch now tells him that it’s an old car. [[Sindy]] knows that it’s the burnt out old hulk that he had pick up eighty three bucks a couple of months ago. Ponch now goes bingo. Grossie knows Ponch had built it back up himself with a little help from his friends which are Jon and [[Baricza]]. Sindy knows that Ponch has a male ego. Everybody is now admiring the car. [[Getraer]] now comes outside looking at the car, and mentions to them about fair shake now then decides tells everyone to hit the bricks. Every now takes off, and Jon puts on his sunglasses.
It’s just another morning at the CHP where a motor officer is finally pulling out while [[Ponch]] and [[Jon]] pull into Central on their bikes, and a patrol car pulls out. While inside the building Ponch now wants [[Sindy]], [[Baricza]], and [[Grossie]] outside for a very special surprise in the parking lot. Ponch now sees Jon walking in the other direction, and manages just to stop him in time by getting him to turn around in the other direction. Ponch now finally takes his friends outside to show them a very special surprise in the parking lot which actually turns out to be his beautifully restored Pontiac Firebird Trans Am, and it just been freshly repainted in the original color with a brand new bird decal on the hood. While Ponch’s friends are now finally starting to admire his beautifully restore car, and has to listen to their compliments which includes an insult about his beautiful restoration work. Sindy now makes a chauvinism remark towards Ponch about his beautifully restore car, and both get into a heated discussion about cars. [[Getraer]] now finally comes outside only to admire Ponch’s beautifully restore car for just about a minute, and wants all of his colleagues to hit the streets right now in order to do their jobs. While Sindy, Baricza, and Grossie now finally decide to hit the streets by leaving the parking lot. Jon now finally puts on his aviator sunglasses, and walks away actually leaving Ponch still standing there actually daydreaming about his beautifully restore car. Ponch will eventually quit his daydreaming, and decide to finally walk away from his beautifully restored car in order to go along with the rest of the program.
 
At the end of the day Ponch drives back to his apartment near the marina. As Ponch pulls into his parking spot, and at the same time his strange new neighbor is also pull into her parking sport inside the underground parking garage. At the same time Ponch and his new neighbor get out there cars. The female stranger now tells him that he has a cute car, and Ponch knows that they haven't met yet, she now introduces herself as Kim Balford. Ponch now tells Kim that he lives in apartment number 127. Kim now tells Ponch that she had move in just a few days ago. Kim now decide to walk away from Ponch.

The next morning two strange beautiful mysterious blonde female car thieves show up on a motorcycle. The sandy blonde on the back points at Ponch's car, and the bleach blonde turns around on the bike now stops. She now gets off the back of the motorcyle, then walks towards Ponch's car, and she now a slim jim out of her oversize purse now then decides pop the lock with the exact same tool. She gets into car now uses a slidehammer to yank the igniton lock off while the other one files her nails keeping a look out for the cops, and starts it up with a screwdriver. She now decide to pull out, and drive off now following the other one out of the underground parking garage near the marina.

She now drives it down the street to the Al Dubowe Auto Sales which is actually a used lot car which is actually owned by a friend of theirs who part is of a big operation, and is helping them with the stolen cars. After arriving she now gets out of the car, and walks off where the salesman outside puts a sold sign on the car. Kim now picks up her friend who had this morning just boosted the car in the parking garage near the marina, now making sure that there all set then starts laughing about who they had just ripped off a stupid sucker which turns out to be Ponch, and now decides to drive off.

That same day in the afternoon while on the job having a very short ten minute break Ponch starts talking to Jon about his car which is actually completely boring unless he changes of subject to anything else. Ponch brags about his car hitting 60 mph in 8+ seconds, and bets Jon that he can make it to Sussex Canel in a hour. Until Jon sees two women driving a brand new black Corvette carrying old plates, and Ponch guests yellow/black which they actually stop handing them out about eight years ago. There break is now cut short when they have to start up there motorcycles, and take off going up the on ramp while Ponch calls in the license plate numbers of the car. Jon now calls in a 10-4 on his CB radio. Both Ponch and Jon start chasing the car down the Harbor Freeway for couple of miles. Both women are actually different shades of blonde inside the car, and are now smiling. They now take the exit ramp.

After getting off the freeway they now make a very sharp turn during the chase. The women decide to turn into the parking lot, and now knocking over the stop guard. Now going through the parking lot in circles while chasing them, and eventually go through the parking garage. Now out of the parking garage. Both women cut off the disable people in wheelchairs. Ponch now wipes out, and lands on his back accidently breaking his pinky finger. Jon gets off his motorcycle making sure Ponch and the disable people are all right. One disable persons about how those crazy kids could have killed someone. Jon now tells the disable to split, and calls in code 4 on the pursuit. Ponch now tells Jon that he banged up his finger a little bit. Jon now tells Ponch that we have to go over to County General Hospital, and doesn't want any back talk. After losing the cops which are Ponch and Jon, the women now deliver the stolen car to the dealship, and go into the office.
 
While back at headquarters Baricza and the men are now moving stuff out. Baricza would now like to report a missing officers lounge. Getraer now tells Baricza if you want to laugh call me for pizza. Both Ponch and Jon now arrive back from the emergency room at the hospital. Grossie now goes look who here. Sindy mentions about a fallen hero the suppost to being carried out on a shield. Baricza now goes, and guests that you will never play the piano again. Getraer now wants Ponch to come into his office. Baricza now mentions that their putting in womens lockeroom. Grossie also mentions orders from Sacramento. Sindy now goes another way for womens lib. Now Getraer has to call out for Ponch one more time.
 
After going into Getraers office, he now mentions about enough problems. Ponch now mentions that he had just broke his pinky finger. TGetrear now mentions about suggestions. Jon mentions to Getraer about light desk for at least a week. Getraer now goes are you kidding with half of the regular staff out in the hall. Ponch now wants go back onto the bike, and make best of it. Getraer now wait a minute I have a better idea, and pulls a file out of the filing cabinet, and offers Ponch some of his five days vacation time that he has coming up. Ponch goes vacation now. Getraer also mention that Ponch will be just in the way around here. Jon mention if Ponch doesn't want it that he will take it. Ponch now mentions that he going to the locker room, and is going to change clothes.
 
Jon now goes into the break room to grab a snack for digestion. Sindy now mentions now is the perfect time to on a diet if I wasn't so hungary. Ponch now comes in with vacation magazines. Baricza now calls Ponch if it isn't Mr. Lucky. Ponch now sits down, and mentions one trip to the auto club. Jon goes I think I can't stand it. Baricza also mentions San Francisco. Ponch now starts talking about his little bronze beauty, and mentions on the way of course I'll hit Big Surf, Caramel, and Monterey. Sindy now wants Ponch to marry her, and take her away from here. Ponch asks her if she has a drowy. Sindy now goes sorry. Jon now asks if anynone has change for a buck, and mentions that his wallet is gone. Getraer now comes, and asks has anybody seen the duty roster. Grossie mention check your office. Sindy also mentions maybe you left it at home.

At the end of the day Jon now Ponch and his broken pinky finger home. Ponch now thanks Jon for the lift home. After arriving at Ponch's apartment Jon is now looking for his wallet. Ponch now mentions sorry old buddy to Jon. Jon now notices Ponch's new neighbor from the floor above. Ponch now mentions that's Kim Balford. Jon now mentions Boy watching with binoculars. Ponch now that the new age, and they got their rights too. Jon now asks Ponch to use his phone, and has to stop three blank checks. Ponch now goes sure be my guest, and has some packing to do. Jon now mentions your going to split first thing in the morning. Ponch now mentions somewhere around me and my bomb will be somewhere near cloud nine.

The next morning Ponch is already pack carrying a garnment bag, and a suitcase while walking into the underground parking garage. Ponch now notices that his car has recently been stolen, and he is now very upset. Ponch now puts luggage down, and starts to run through the inside of the underground parking garage.

Getraer is now supervising the movers so they don't the doors. Ponch now goes to Getraer. Getraer now tells Ponch that it has to wait. Ponch now tells Getraer that his car has been stolen. Getraer now tells the movers to move the desk.

* When Ponch introduces himself to Kim his pinky finger is broken, but this does not happen until later when he wrecks while they are chasing the Corvette.
* When the Corvette approaches the group in wheelchairs, the first guy in a wheelchair is nearly across the parking lot exit when we see the Corvette approach. When the shot cuts to the interior of the Corvette, he has just begun to cross the exit.
* When Kim runs into Ponch and Jon having lunch, she refers to him as 'Ponch' although he has only introduced himself as Frank Poncherello. Why wouldn't she call him Frank or Officer Poncherello?
* While sitting in the Lincoln, Kim refers to "the talkative one to the left, happens to be a cop looking for a stolen car, his stolen car", however, Jon was to their left, not Ponch.
* Before Grossman pursues Kim and Melodie in the Lincoln, we see traffic moving behind him in close-up shots, however, when he begins pursuit, there is no traffic - everyone is stopped at the light.
* When Kim and Melodie ditch the Lincoln, we never see them leave the car, however, the car is empty as it leaves the pier.

* The car that Kim and Melodie are being chased by Grossman in changes license plates. They start out dark in colour with yellow lettering. As it plunges into the water, the plates change to yellow with dark lettering.
* Melodie's clothes change from a brown tight sweater and slacks to blouse and jeans in between stealing Ponch's car and delivering it.
* Whomever painted Ponch's Firebird did a fantastic job on it.  They painted the grilles, headlight buckets, and all of the chrome window trim as well.
* When Jon is giving Ponch a ride home in his pick-up, he makes a right on red without making a full and complete stop.  The cross traffic light has just gone to yellow.
* While pursuing the car transporter, Jon and Ponch signal to Grossman to stop so they can tell him that they need to double back as the transporter has turned off. They pull over at exactly the same spot as where they originally got Grossman's attention.
* When the Firebird rolls over during the final pursuit, the fuel tank has been removed. Also, the left rear tire appears to be completely bald (or a racing slick).

  • When the Corvette approaches the group in wheelchairs, the first guy in a wheelchair is nearly across the parking lot exit when we see the Corvette approach. When the shot cuts to the interior of the Corvette, he has just begun to cross the exit.
  • When Kim runs into Ponch and Jon having lunch, she refers to him as 'Ponch' although he has only introduced himself as Frank Poncherello. Why wouldn't she call him Frank or Officer Poncherello?
  • While sitting in the Lincoln, Kim refers to "the talkative one to the left, happens to be a cop looking for a stolen car, his stolen car", however, Jon was to their left, not Ponch.
  • Before Grossman pursues Kim and Melodie in the Lincoln, we see traffic moving behind him in close-up shots, however, when he begins pursuit, there is no traffic - everyone is stopped at the light.
  • When Kim and Melodie ditch the Lincoln, we never see them leave the car, however, the car is empty as it leaves the pier.

  • A network censor apparently missed Melodie's bikini top.
  • The car that Kim and Melodie are being chased by Grossman in changes license plates. They start out dark in colour with yellow lettering. As it plunges into the water, the plates change to yellow with dark lettering.
  • Melodie's clothes change from a brown tight sweater and slacks to blouse and jeans in between stealing Ponch's car and delivering it.
  • Whomever painted Ponch's Firebird did a fantastic job on it. They painted the grilles, headlight buckets, and all of the chrome window trim as well.
  • When Jon is giving Ponch a ride home in his pick-up, he makes a right on red without making a full and complete stop. The cross traffic light has just gone to yellow.
  • While pursuing the car transporter, Jon and Ponch signal to Grossman to stop so they can tell him that they need to double back as the transporter has turned off. They pull over at exactly the same spot as where they originally got Grossman's attention.
  • When the Firebird rolls over during the final pursuit, the fuel tank has been removed. Also, the left rear tire appears to be completely bald (or a racing slick).
