Not much is known about this fine officer, although Barry Baricza was the only CHP officer seen drawing his weapon during the entire run of the show.
For a short time, Barry quit the CHP to work as a crop duster for his father. He's a pilot and flight instructor. His father (who is also a crop duster) taught him how to fly.[1]

Baricza and Fritz won the 1976 CHP bowling tournament.[2]
His nickname is "Bear".
He also played on the CHP basketball team.[3]
He was injured in a hit and run which killed another officer.
As of 1999, Baricza is still with the CHP.[4]
