Bruce Nelson is the younger brother of Bobby Nelson. He was first seen as a cadet and later became Ponch's partner.[1]
In 1999, Bruce Nelson was promoted to Sergeant. Shortly after his promotion, he was injured during a high speed pursuit.[2]
