Brief Plot

Ponch and Jon try to apprehend a jewel thief who has hit several condos in Marina del Ray. Ponch tries to befriend a recovering girl who was injured by the thief during his escape.

Plot

One morning while Ponch and Jon are riding along the coast of the Marina Freeway instead of the usual Harbor Freeway. Jon after listening to Ponch complain about wanting to quit the CHP in order to become a lifeguard, and decides that his friend might need a little cheering up today. Ponch is now finally satisfied with his line of work after a little cheering up from Jon. Meanwhile a jewel thief has just broken into a rich women’s condo in the small seaside community of Marina del Ray, and is now going though the dresser doors until he finds a small jewelry box. After opening up the jewelry box he now finds out that contains two very expensive diamond rings, and includes a string of pearls. The jewel thief now decides to take advantage of the rich women by stealing her very expensive pieces of jewelry. He now takes the very expensive pieces out of the jewelry box by placing them into a soft case, and decide makes a break for it.
