After Ponch and Jon had just finished exiting the Marina Freeway, and happen to be riding along the coast of the recently vacant beach area of Santa Monica. After Jon has just finished listening to Ponch complain about wanting to quit the CHP in order to become a lifeguard at the beach, and decides that his best friend might need a little bit of cheering up today. Ponch is now finally satisfied with his line of work after a little cheering up from Jon.
