Wes Miller is Jon Baker's nephew, the son of Jon's older sister. After his father passed away, Wes and his mother moved to Los Angeles so she could work.
Wes planned to go to college. He was very interested in animal husbandry.
In 1978, when he was a high school senior at Freemont High School, he and his friends stole cars. When Grossie caught him racing on an unopened section of the 210 freeway, Ponch and Jon joined the chase and Jon arrested him. Wes got off with a misdemeanor.[1]
