Unless it would cheese other contributors off, I'd like to go through the existing locations to see what existing trends there are in the information, then make templates for locations (real vs. fictional - see below). Then I'll conform the existing entries to match, if there are no objections to the templates. --iamcrispydammit 23:42, 4 February 2008 (PST) | Unless it would cheese other contributors off, I'd like to go through the existing locations to see what existing trends there are in the information, then make templates for locations (real vs. fictional - see below). The CHiPs Wiki contains information on both locations that actually exist in California (like Travel Town) and those that exist only in the CHiPs universe (like Lehigh Polytechnical High School). I think it might be best to divide these, creating multiple sub-categories for these different types of locations. --iamcrispydammit 23:42, 4 February 2008 (PST) | The CHiPs Wiki contains information on both locations that actually exist in California (like Travel Town) and those that exist only in the CHiPs universe (like Lehigh Polytechnical High School). I've made a Gowalla trip so that anyone using that app can easily visit some of these locations in real life. Consistent formatting
I would like to add a lot of content to the CHiPs Wiki regarding locations. It is my hope to add considerable content without requiring excessive oversight from other contributors here, while respecting the work that has already been done.
Unless it would cheese other contributors off, I'd like to go through the existing locations to see what existing trends there are in the information, then make templates for locations (real vs. fictional - see below). Then I'll conform the existing entries to match, if there are no objections to the templates. --iamcrispydammit 23:42, 4 February 2008 (PST)

- I think this is a good idea, although there are also some locations that are of a larger scale that are more similar to entries like Golden State Freeway than they are to Travel Town, and yet they are not highways/roads; I'm thinking of entries like Los Angeles and California. - I suppose we could create "Municipalities" and just leave California and Wyoming under the parent "Locations" category. --PatrickD 07:43, 9 February 2008 (PST)
Categories: Real Location vs. Fictional Location
The CHiPs Wiki contains information on both locations that actually exist in California (like Travel Town) and those that exist only in the CHiPs universe (like Lehigh Polytechnical High School). I think it might be best to divide these, creating multiple sub-categories for these different types of locations. --iamcrispydammit 23:42, 4 February 2008 (PST)

Gowalla
I've made a Gowalla trip so that anyone using that app can easily visit some of these locations in real life. "CHiPs" Trips on Gowalla Hopefully I can get pics of some of these when I'm out in LA in a few weeks. --PatrickD 06:51, 30 September 2010 (PDT)
