TNT (Turner Network Television) is a cable network in the United States that aired "CHiPs" through the late 1990s and helped to produce the TV movie "CHiPs '99".
TNT is owned by Time-Warner, which also owns Warner Bros..
Airing of "CHiPs"
In the mid-1990s, a member of the TNT programming department explained that they had "no good reason" for showing the episodes out of order. Although they claimed that it made it easier to organize "theme weeks", they could air popular episodes more often (ie: not so many episodes without Larry Wilcox), and it helped to reduce repeats.
TNT no longer airs "CHiPs" and focuses on more recent dramatic programming and movies.
