The first broadcast of "CHiPs" '99 was rated #5 (behind wrestling) among cable programs for the week with a 3.5 rating. It was seen by about 3,465,000 people. (In contrast, ER was the #1 network program that week with a rating of 20.5 and 20,400,000 people.)
