In CHiPs all characters had accurate look alike CHP uniforms at the very least detail. The only difference from those worn by real cops was that CHiPs uniforms were tighter to give a more sexy look.

Even the 7 points star badge was like the real CHP one made by Entenmann and Rovin. Ponch's badge has been sold for more than 2.5k dollars in 2017.

Some screen worn uniforms are still around on auction websites, some others are kept in private collections.

Here we have some pictures of a Poncherello's screen worn complete uniform, this uniform has been told to be n.2 of 7 uniforms he used while filming the show (maybe he had more than just 7 over the whole 6 seasons), this rare collector piece is made of uniform, gloves, boots, name tag, marksman shooting pin, underbelt and duty belt with accessories like the microphone pouch (everything screen worn).

Everyone could guess that CHiPs actors had many different uniforms looking at small details such as name tag letters character, shoulder patch colors and duty belt accessories.
