Galactica 1980 is a short-run sequel sci-fi series of the original television series Battlestar Galactica (1978). In the episode "The Super Scouts" two Colonial warriors escape two CHP (note that they don't have correct CHP badge, shoulder patch and helmet winged wheel) motor officers (who look very much like Ponch and Jon bad copy) by using flying motorcycles. One of the two officers refers to "CHiPs", complaining to his partner: "How come this never happens to those two guys on TV?".

Honda 750 four and KZ-900

The CHP motor officers (in different camera angles of the same pursuit scene) ride all the four bikes tested by the CHP in those years: a Kawasaki 900, a Suzuki 850, a Moto Guzzi Eldorado and a Honda 750 four (note the higher frontal red lights).
